January 10, 2005 Dear Customer: You may have already heard about some exciting changes at West Star Aviation. On December 31, 2004, the principals of Premier Air Center in East Alton, Illinois acquired West Star Aviation. If you are wondering what this means to you, I wanted to take the opportunity to make sure you had answers. The acquisition is exciting, providing both companies with more resources and possibilities for innovation in a variety of areas. West Star Aviation will continue to run under the West Star name and with its management and technical team in place with few exceptions. One of the few changes is that West Star President Bob Barry is retiring at age 67. West Star has enjoyed unprecedented success under his tenure, but he is ready to enjoy well-deserved time with his airplane, boat and wife! Mike Durst has been named West Stars General Manager, running the day-to-day operations. Bob Rasberry is West Stars new President. Mike brings 24 years of aviation experience to West Star, and has served as VP/GM of Garrett Augusta prior to joining forces with Premier Air Center and now West Star. He shares in West Stars customer focus and is happy to talk with you if you have thoughts youd like to share during your next visit. Beyond that, the same names and faces who have served you in the past will continue to do so with the same energy, professionalism and can do attitude youve come to expect from us. In the meantime, please feel free to contact your West Star Sales Representative, Tech Rep, Team Lead, or me here at West Star if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you in Grand Junction in 2005! Tailwinds, Colleen Back # # # END # # # |
