West Star Purchases Timberline Aviation

GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO– West Star Aviation of Grand Junction, Colorado purchased the assets of Timberline Aviation (also of Grand Junction) on April 16, 2004. According to West Star President Bob Barry, the company purchased Timberline as a strategic move to secure military and general aviation fueling business.

“There has not historically been enough fuel business in Grand Junction to sustain two fueling operations, “ he said. “We purchased Timberline mainly for the military fueling business, but we also expect our general aviation fuel volumes to increase because we intend to keep fuel prices regionally competitive.” In a letter to Timberline customers, Barry promised to maintain the fuel price margins and aircraft tie down rates that customers had experienced with Timberline.
