As an industry-leading MRO services provider, West Star Aviation has adopted a proactive approach to how we do business into 2021 and beyond. As always, we will continue to make our valued customers a priority as we move forward, but wanted to provide you with an update from within our company.
As demand for world-class MRO services continues to increase, we want to serve you in the best and most efficient manner possible. To that end, we are excited to share that we have begun to implement an enterprise-wide effort to increase the services we provide in all areas of our business. Some of these efforts will be noticeable and others more transparent, but all are focused on being able to meet your needs and continue to exceed expectations. Immediate examples include:
- Adding 2 nd Shifts at all four full-service locations (ALN, GJT, PCD and CHA). This is directly helping to reduce turn-times for our customers by as much as 25-30%.
- Investing in and deploying iPad hardware equipped with Corridor Go for our airframe and avionics technicians at our full-service facilities. This mobile technology allows easy access to technical data, OEM & vendor applications and even parts and tooling ordering all without having to leave their respective workspace.
- Development and implementation of the iPad-based West Star Aviation Learning Management System (LMS) – This proprietary system fosters an on-demand learning culture to increase technical expertise by giving our technicians the ability to complete virtual initial and continuing maintenance courses.
- Implementing the new ServiceEdge Customer Portal where West Star customers have easy web access to quotes, project updates, squawk approvals and easy communication with their West Star team members.
