Assumes 100% Interest In Premier Aircraft, LLC
West Star Aviation, Inc. announced today that it concluded an agreement with Yankee Pacific Aerospace, Inc. to assume 100% of the membership interests in Premier Aircraft, LLC. Terms were not disclosed. Premier Aircraft, LLC became a joint venture of West Star and Yankee Pacific Aerospace in 2006 and is the holder of the FAA and EASA approvals for upgrade of Falcon 50 aircraft with Honeywell TFE 731-4-1C engines.
Since receiving FAA supplemental type certification in May of 2007, West Star has installed the upgrade, known as the 50Dash4 Performance Upgrade on six Falcon 50 aircraft. The upgrade increases the range/payload performance of the Falcon 50 through improved takeoff performance, higher available initial cruise altitudes, increased cruise speed and reduced fuel consumption. The TFE731-4-1C has increased inspection intervals and a special MSP rate from Honeywell versus the standard TFE731-3/3D-1C engines installed on unmodified Falcon 50’s.
“The 50Dash4 Performance Upgrade program is pleasing its customers and is an excellent fit for business aircraft MRO companies, such as West Star Aviation and our exclusive distributors Midcoast Aviation, Duncan Aviation and Jet Aviation,” said Jim Swehla, President of Premier Aircraft, LLC and Executive VP at West Star Aviation. “We look forward to continued, vigorous sale and support of the program.” Ken Goldsmith, Jr., Managing Director of Yankee Pacific Aerospace, said, “We were
delighted to have been part of the conceptualization and certification of the 50Dash4 program. Now that the 50Dash4 is a proven performer, the best future for the program is in the hands of a strong, full service business aircraft MRO such as West Star”.
