Challenger 300/600 Exterior Lighting – Incandescent to LED Conversion
The evidence for converting traditional incandescent exterior aircraft lights to LED is strong. LED lights can deliver extended life, reduced weight, reduced power consumption and reduced maintenance needs.
For Challenger 300/600 operators looking for an option to make the conversion, West Star Aviation’s Challenger experts recommend the Talon Aerospace LED bulbs for a “plug and play” solution.
AXICO holds an FAA STC approval (ST04177AT) for the Talon LED Sealed Beam replacement lamps for the Bombardier Challenger 300/600 aircraft.
The PAR 36 LED landing light TAE0528-1X is used to replace the OEM 4596 landing lights, PAR 36 LED taxi light TAE0528-2 is used to replace OEM 4626 taxi lights and either PAR 36 LED logo light TAE0528-3 (cool white) or TAE0528-3W (warm white) is used to replace the OEM 4713 logo lights for the Challenger 600 series.
For the Challenger 600 series aircraft, Talon holds an alternative means of compliance to eliminate the AD restriction on the use of landing and taxi lights when replacing both with Talon LED units.
As mentioned, this product is completely plug and play, with no modification required to the airframe. Further, these Talon LED bulbs will work with most pulse light systems and meet the ANSI requirements addressed in the Bombardier Advisory Wire AW600-33-2559
Foreign Approvals include EASA, ANAC, DGAC, CAAC and TC. For more information on this solution for your Challenger 300/600 aircraft, please contact your West Star Aviation Challenger specialists today.
