West Star Aviation’s 256,000+ square foot Chattanooga location is a state-of-the-art, full-service MRO facility with growing capacity and capability. The location is quickly becoming a convenient resource for operators looking to upgrade their aging legacy cabin management systems, often in conjunction with larger maintenance events or paint and interior projects.
As these aircraft cabin entertainment and control systems have continued to age, vendor support has become more difficult due to part obsolescence. A new cabin management system allows an operator to upgrade to modern technologies like putting a high-definition video source (e.g., Apple TV, Roku) on a bulkhead or add personal monitors or streaming Bluetooth audio through the cabin audio system, and much more.
In the first half of 2024 alone, WSA–CHA has completed five Cabin Management System upgrades with additional work scopes to date (four with Collins Aerospace Venue and one with CMS Aero Evolve).

Following closely on these successful installs, two additional Starlink installations (one on a G550 and the other on a Global 6000) are scheduled for input within 30 days.
West Star Aviation continues to see an increase in CMS upgrades as support for the legacy systems installed from the factory decreases. Demand for the latest technology advancements are also helping fuel this area with newer touchscreens, seat and galley controls, wireless control, HD & 4K resolution source equipment and cabin displays, Bluetooth connectivity to carry-on equipment, more advanced moving map systems, and next-level sound systems.
West Star Chattanooga has quickly grown into a major full-service MRO location for the company over the last five years. With our recent expansion, we have been continuously adding top-notch technicians and artisans capable of the most advanced repairs, avionics installations, and custom cabin refurbishments/upgrades. West Star Chattanooga has become the go-to for aircraft maintenance and upgrades in the southeastern part of the country.
