Grand Junction, CO, January 12, 2016—West Star Aviation is proud to announce they received the Business Expansion Award for 4th quarter from the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce.

The Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce is the voice of business in Mesa County. The business Expansion Award honors companies that have expanded and created new jobs in the Grand Junction Area. West Star Aviation was honored for a $9.5 million project for constructing a new paint hangar at Grand Junction Regional Airport. The aircraft maintenance and repair operation also increased its payroll by 38 technicians to a total of 400 technicians at the Grand Junction Location. They received their award during a membership meeting in December.

West Star is continuing to expand nationwide with preparations of opening a new location in Chattanooga TN. Their Grand Junction, CO, (GJT) location received approval from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). This will allow them to do overhauling and repairing landing gear and accessory overhaul operations.
