Continuing Our Story at West Star Aviation: Expanding Our Horizons with Expertise and Space, Bringing on the Best of the Best

At West Star Aviation, we are truly excited to embrace the next chapter of our story, a narrative that reflects not just our commitment to our customers but also our deep appreciation for the relationships we’ve built over the years. This endeavor isn’t merely about expanding our physical footprint; it’s about enhancing our operational capabilities through the infusion of talented experts who share our passion for exceptional service in the aviation industry.

Significant Expansions at Our Locations
As we look ahead, our Grand Junction location will see transformative enhancements, adding an impressive 40,000 square feet of hangar space, along with 38,000 square feet dedicated to offices and back shop requirements, and an additional 31,000 square feet of ramp space. This expansion will bring our total to 109,000 square feet—an investment in our promise to provide an exceptional environment for aircraft maintenance and modifications.

In Chattanooga, we are embracing progress with a new 40,000-square-foot maintenance hangar, alongside 15,600 square feet of attached shop, office, and storage space. A brand-new two-story building, spanning 34,000 square feet for both shop and office operations, will make our home even more inviting. Coupled with 31,300 square feet dedicated to parking, this initiative contributes to a total of 120,000 square feet of operational space. With each brick laid, we are not only expanding our capabilities but reinforcing our commitment to serving our customers with integrity and excellence.

The Right People Make All the Difference
Yet, while these enhancements are significant milestones, we know that it’s the people who truly breathe life into our vision. Recognizing this, we are determined to attract skilled and dedicated sales professionals who reflect our values and can deliver the first-rate service our clients expect. This year, our Chief Customer Officer, Marty Rhine, has prioritized assembling a team that collaborates seamlessly, fostering a culture of success and innovation.

Reflecting on these developments, Marty shares, “Our strength lies in the synergy of our team. When we work in tandem, we can achieve anything. This expansion allows us to accommodate more aircraft while enhancing our capabilities and broadening our service offerings. As hectic as our days can be, it is truly valuable to take a moment to reflect on the years our dedicated team members have devoted to West Star Aviation. With 78 years of heritage behind us, the loyalty, experience, and resilience our staff embodies is a source of pride that is hard to put into words. I want to express my deep gratitude to the extraordinary team I have the privilege to work with daily. Their commitment and excellence set the standard for everyone at West Star. Yes, while expanding our physical spaces is an exciting journey, what will always matter most is the incredible people we serve alongside.”

But Marty’s reflection doesn’t stop with his own team. It extends to the skilled mechanics we have the privilege to bring on, the dedicated support staff, leads, and managers who are the backbone of our operations. It truly takes an army to deliver the exceptional service our customers deserve, and we are fortunate to seek out those key individuals whose contributions make us truly amazing.

Our existing team is a tapestry of dedication and shared experience. Many of us have faced challenges, celebrated achievements, and embraced change together as we respond to our customers’ evolving needs. As we move forward, it is paramount that we continue to onboard the best of the best individuals who bring not only expertise but also a shared commitment to excellence. Each new addition embodies our vision while reinforcing our values.

In line with our mission to bring on the best talent, we have successfully promoted and hired key individuals in 2025 to expand our sales team and support our expansion. Our team now includes Steve Blume, promoted to Technical Sales Manager for Bombardier; David Feuerhak, our Technical Sales Manager specializing in Paint & Interior; Lance Anderson as Technical Sales Manager for Citation; John Driehuis, our Technical Sales Manager for Falcon; Kelley Pitts, Technical Sales Manager for Paint & Interior; Nicholas Morrow, promoted to Technical Sales Manager for Paint & Interior; and Mark Crotty, who joins us as Business Development Manager for Embraer. Each of these remarkable individuals not only enhances our capabilities but also contributes to the rich legacy of teamwork and dedication at West Star Aviation.

Our Commitment to Excellence
At West Star Aviation, we are not just shaping a future with expanded facilities; we are fostering an environment enriched with collaborative spirit and mutual trust. We believe that these enhancements, combined with our talented team, will empower us to serve our customers better than ever before.

As we continue our story, we are immensely grateful for your trust and support. We are excited for all that lies ahead and look forward to nurturing the relationships that have become the cornerstone of who we are at West Star Aviation. Together, let’s chart a course toward a future filled with promise, partnership, and shared success.
