West Star Aviation Receives STC for TCAS II Version 7.1 Upgrade Installation
East Alton, IL, December 15, 2016– West Star Aviation is pleased to announce they have received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for installing an upgrade to the FAA approved Rockwell Collins TCAS II system incorporating TCAS II Version 7.1.
In most cases, TCAS 7.1 is a software upgrade to an existing TCAS II with 7.0 software, TCAS 7.1 is required for travel in European airspace. This STC is applicable to Bombardier Challenger models CL-600-2A12 (CL-601), CL-600-2B16 (CL-601-3A Variant), and CL-600-2B16 (CL-601-3R Variant) equipped with TTR-21 or TTR-20.
