West Star Aviation’s Interior Design Team work hard to stay on top of the latest design trends and processes. Producing world-class interiors requires attention to every minute detail. Even the smallest detail can add an entirely different feel to a cabin environment.
An example of this can be found in the use of leather techniques. There are several types of leather techniques that can be used to take an already outstanding interior plan to the next level. Quilted, perforated, laser cut and laser etched leather are all great ways to add an element of unique design to your aircraft interior. These leather techniques can stand alone or be combined to create a one-of-a-kind cabin environment.
Quilted Leather
Tone-on-Tone Stitch and Perforation:
Application: Seat insert, Bulkhead
Quilted leather is always a classic effect that provides a deep, rich look to seats and bulkhead panels. Adding a tone-on-tone stitch and perforation allows the seat to be more breathable and can give a sporty vibe.
Quilted Leather
Contrast Stitch:
Application: Seat insert, Bulkhead
Quilted leather can be used to create an enhanced interior. Not only creating additional comfort but also enriching the overall design. A diamond quilt with a contrast stitch brings the classic to a more contemporary level.
Over Laid Leaser-cut leather:
Application: Bulkhead Panels
Laser-cut, overlaid leather is an interesting way to create a dynamic look. You can have any design, pattern or logo cut into the leather. Think of the possibilities! Your company logo laser cut into custom color leathers that match the company colors perfectly.
Leaser-Etched Leather:
Application: Bulkhead, Lower sidewalls, Head rest/Head rest covers
Leather-etched leather like the laser cut leather has endless possibilities when it comes to the design and pattern application. A laser is used to create the chosen design by etching into a single hide of leather. Depending on the color of leather selected, this can create a subtle pattern or a dramatic graphic design.
No matter which effect you choose, trust the Interior Specialists at West Star Aviation to help integrate the look into your interior plans to create a truly breathtaking cabin interior environment that is specific to your tastes.
