As West Star Aviation prides itself on the experience and skill of our technicians and specialists, we feel it is valuable to our customer and other operators to share observations, solutions and information directly from the shop floor. After all, communication and the sharing of information is the key to not only our success as an MRO, but for you as an operator.
Falcon specialists at West Star Aviation’s ALN facility recently discovered a crack in the No. 1 engine pylon rib during a 4C Inspection while visually performing task 54-00-00-220-801.
This damage resulted in the removal of the #1 engine and pylon for rib replacement.
West Star recommends that special attention be given to the rib fastener holes during any inspection in order to detect any cracks.
