December 14, 2017– West Star Aviation is pleased to announce that Josh Peterson has been named Avionics Technical Sales Manager effective December 12, 2017.

Josh’s career in aviation began in 1992 when he joined the Navy. Stationed in San Diego, he worked as a sheet metal mechanic on carrier-based cargo aircraft until 1996, when he left the Navy to pursue a career working on firefighting aircraft. Josh joined the West Star Aviation team in 2002 as a sheet metal repair technician and performed structural repairs. He advanced quickly within the organization to avionics installs and in 2012, Josh worked in contracts where he would quote maintenance, interior, paint, and avionics.

“We have watched Josh’s career grow since he began at West Star in 2002, his technical mindset and passion for avionics will be a key factor of success in the role of Avionics Technical Sales Manager,” said Marty Rhine, Director of Sales, West Star Aviation. “We are pleased to know that his experience within our organization will help continue to build long-standing relationships with our customers,” Rhine continued.
