New GJT Design Center

West Star Aviation is pleased to announce the completion of a complete remodel and expansion of their Aircraft Interior Design Center at their Grand Junction, CO (GJT) facility.

Form & Function:

The newly completed 760 sq. ft. Design Center is four times the size of the previous space and includes custom cabinetry completely fabricated in our shops to properly store materials and samples. The new set-up showcases the latest in cabinetry craftsmanship, finish processes and other components and details available to our customers in an expanded, well-lit space.

Wall Of Color:

The Design Center’s West wall serves as a dedicated paint color display. Natural light from large picture windows overlooking the ramp and adjacent mountains which allows customers to view paint colors to see how they change in natural light and based on the curvature of their aircraft.

Art & Technology Meet:

A 55” monitor display serves as a focal point for telecommunications, displaying past and present work, as well as viewing paint and interior renderings. State-of-the-art cool LED lighting was installed to further allow customers to view materials in the same light as in the cabin of their aircraft, giving them a more accurate depiction of textures, colors and feel of materials to be used in their interiors.

West Star Aviation is synonymous with world-class paint and interior quality, and now the new Design Center reflects that and is the same caliber as competing OEMs. The GJT location alone finishes on average 12-15 complete interiors per year. When partial interior upgrades are included, the location works on close to 120 paint and interior projects per year.
