West Star is pleased to welcome Alan Schaake as the new Director of Accounting at their East Alton, IL (ALN) facility. He will be overseeing the company’s accounting functions while also assisting with designing and implementing new financial solutions to further develop and refine the current systems.

Alan has over 35 years of combined experience in accounting, finance and operations. He is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Account for the state of Illinois. He holds a Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University, later returning to school earning an associate degree in Process Technology from Lewis & Clark Community College.

“Alan’s strong financial background will be a significant benefit for helping West Star continue to grow and succeed. I look forward to working with him to lead the accounting team and help the organization,” said Luke Williams, Corporate Controller.
