Affected Models: F900 (EASy, DX, LX); F2000 (EASy, DX, LX S, LXS); F7X; F8X
A Falcon Service News Flash (FSN-271-R04-A) has been issued regarding reported occurrences of lithium-polymer battery swelling in the CMA-1310 PilotView® EDU (Electronic Display Unit). Affected aircraft include F900 (EASy, DX, LX); F2000 (EASy, DX, LX S, LXS); F7X; and F8X.
The EFB CMA-1310 features two battery packs: one external removable battery pack and one internal backup battery, with swelling possible in both. External battery swelling can be observed with visible deformation of the unit upon inspection. Internal battery swelling can damage the unit’s touchscreen or dislodge the LCD from the unit itself.
To prevent such issues, Dassault Aviation has developed Service Bulletins 7X-632, F2000EX-507, and F900EX-614 to remove the internal battery from the EDU.
In addition, the FAA has published an Airworthiness Directive (AD 2025-06-05) (EASA AD 2024-0072), which mandates the compliance with the relevant Dassault Service Bulletins within 12 months or 800 flight hours, whichever occurs first, after the effective date of this AD (02 May 2025). West Star Aviation can perform this AD at any of our locations nationwide.
You can trust West Star Aviation’s extensive Falcon experience to complete this AD or any other maintenance on any Falcon model aircraft. For more information on this FSN, the related AD, or our full Falcon maintenance capabilities, please contact one of the Falcon specialists below:
